Vasa Värme aims to be a leading operator of biomass district heating assets in Sweden. Today, we operate 5 district heating plants across the country, delivering c. 180 GWh of heat to over 1,000 connection points, including residential, commercial, municipal and industrial customers. About 97% of our fuel is sustainably and locally sourced biomass.

For example, in Kalix we invested in the construction of a new biomass boiler which contributed to eliminate almost entirely oil consumption, thereby improving significantly the asset’s environmental performance, whilst enhancing its financial performance at the same time.

Vasa Värme was established in 2014 following over a year of research. Vasa Värme now employs 12 full-time employees and its management team counts on over 100 years of technical experience combined. Working closely with the management team, we seek to acquire operational assets, integrate them into a lean and experienced platform, and optimise their operational performance through targeted investments and best-practice operational management.
