Vasa Vind is one of Sweden’s leading developers, constructors and operators of onshore wind with a significant share of the country’s installed wind capacity under management. Vasa Vind is currently managing onshore wind sites with a combined generation of 1.6 TWh from a 530 MW portfolio. Vasa Vind is also developing 500 MW of new onshore wind sites.

The team at Asper has worked closely with Vasa Vind’s management team to create value for our institutional investor clients. The team employed by Vasa Vind has grown from 3 full-time employees in 2013 to 15 full-time employees in 2017, forming a team with deep and wide ranging experience in the Nordic markets.

Vasa Vind was established in 2013, when Asper backed a carve out of its Swedish division from the SSE Group. Our plan was to build a wind energy business in Sweden focusing on the lowest cost of energy by focusing on the best locations, scale economies and best in class management.

Vasa Vind remains in the Asper renewable energy funds’ portfolio and expects to continue delivering substantial growth and value for its shareholders in the years to come.
