Ireland and Northern Ireland
Invis Energy was established in 2011 as a joint venture between funds managed by Asper and the Craydel Group. Our plan was to build a renewable energy business of industrial scale by developing greenfield projects benefiting from Ireland’s exceptional wind resource. The partnership unites Craydel Group’s recognised track record and technical expertise in developing and building renewable energy projects and Asper’s financial strength and experience in creating significant European renewable energy businesses. Over the last years, other major institutional investors have made investments in Invis Energy as well.
The team at Asper has worked closely with the Craydel Group’s management team for over a decade to create value for both the Craydel Group and Asper’s institutional investor clients. We established a dedicated technical and commercial operations company, a key step in enabling us to build a large-scale power generation business that is delivering strong operational and financial performance.
Invis Energy remains in Asper’s renewable energy funds’ portfolio, and we are working hard to continue delivering growth and value from Invis Energy to our investors in the years to come.
Invis Energy in Ireland
Invis Energy is one of Ireland’s leading producers of electricity from onshore wind with a significant share of the country’s installed wind capacity. Invis Energy is currently operating assets that generate over 1 TWh of electricity from a 453 MW operational wind portfolio, a figure that is growing with 190 MW in various stages of construction and a further 300 MW in early-stage construction and planning.
Invis Energy in Scotland
E Power is the latest addition to Invis Energy and was established in 2020 with a target of developing a portfolio of renewable energy projects in Scotland. Our focus on greenfield development is core to our strategy in Scotland where we are developing projects with an installed capacity of over 500 MW.
