Invis Energy is one of Ireland’s leading producers of electricity from onshore wind with a significant share of the country’s installed wind capacity. The platform currently generates 740 GWh of electricity from its 223 MW operational wind portfolio, a figure that is growing with 145 MW in various stages of construction and a further 200 MW in early-stage construction and planning.
Invis Energy was established in 2011 as a joint venture between Asper and the Craydel Group. Our plan was to build a wind energy business of industrial scale and quality in the Irish market by developing sites in-house from the early stages. The partnership unites Craydel’s recognised track record and technical expertise in developing and building renewable energy projects and Asper’s financial strength and experience in creating significant European renewable energy businesses.
The team at Asper has worked closely with the Craydel Group’s management team for almost a decade to create value for both Craydel and Asper’s institutional investor clients. We established a dedicated technical and commercial operations company, a key step enabling us to build a large-scale power generation business that is delivering strong operational and financial performance.
Invis Energy remains in Asper’s renewable energy funds’ portfolio and we are working hard to continue delivering growth and value from Invis to our investors in the years to come.
