Vasa Vind is one of Sweden’s leading developers, constructors and operators of onshore wind.
The platform is currently managing projects with a combined generation of 1.6 TWh from a 530 MW portfolio. Vasa Vind is also developing further 500 MW of new onshore wind sites.
Vasa Vind was established in 2013, when Asper backed a small team of 3 developers. Our plan was to build a wind energy business in Sweden focusing on the most cost-efficient projects: the best wind locations, lowest construction costs and best-in-class management.
The Asper team has worked hard to build up the platform and create value for our institutional investors. The Vasa Vind team has now grown to 15 full-time employees managing an industrial-scale operation that is making a big difference to Sweden’s energy infrastructure.
In 2021 Asper exited the Vasa Vind business to a major European pension fund, where we expect it will continue delivering substantial growth and value for its shareholders in the years to come.
